Weekly astrological forecast for 29th of June - 5th of July: Changing Currents

A Calm and Introspective Week Ahead

A period of tranquility and introspection is approaching, a time to reflect on what no longer serves us and identify the changes we need to make in our lives. We remain deeply connected to our inner selves, making it easier to engage in retrospection, process emotions, and uncover deeply ingrained patterns. While last week brought us face-to-face with uncomfortable or painful realities, this week invites us to integrate and make sense of our recent experiences.

We may recognize the need to modify certain habits and patterns, and the insights gained from our profound emotions may necessitate adjustments in our daily lives. It is worthwhile to concretely envision how we want our lives to unfold, but let's not fret if we're still unsure of the exact changes we need to make. As the week progresses, clarity will emerge, and our energy will gradually shift towards expression and action.

Key Aspects of the Week:

All dates and times are given in UTC+2 time zone

  1. Saturn stations retrograde – 29th of June and stays in retrograde motion until 15th of November

  2. Mercury enters Leo – 2nd of July and stays until 25th of July

  3. New Moon in Cancer – 5th of July

Saturn retrograde is period when things that no longer serve us will begin to feel more burdensome. Energy levels may dip, things may move slower, and it becomes easier to identify what's not working. Utilize this time to evaluate whether our plans are aligned, if course correction is necessary, and if we're prepared for emerging challenges. Changes may not be required; instead, facing resistance from external forces could be an opportunity to establish a solid foundation that will enable us to move forward more quickly once the retrograde ends. The key lies in distinguishing whether obstacles are signaling the need for change or strengthening our roots and helping us solidify our chosen path. This week's considerations are further amplified by the Moon's progression towards the New Moon, which facilitates the shedding of what's no longer needed before embarking on a new cycle.

Mercury’s transition to Leo marks a shift from contemplating our emotions to considering what to do with them. It's also the first indication that our introspective period is nearing its end, and our expressive energy will begin to rise. Just before entering Leo, Mercury conjuncts Neptune, adding a touch of fleeting inspiration before the new intellectual phase. Upon entering Leo, Mercury opposes Pluto, drawing our attention to our place amidst ongoing social, technological, and personal transformations. Let's harness this period of intellectual rejuvenation to enliven the slow and dreamy atmosphere surrounding us and pave the way for the active weeks ahead. If the contrast in pace between the swift-moving Mercury and the nearly stationary Saturn becomes frustrating, remember that the time for dynamic action is not yet upon us. Instead, this is a phase for planning, strategizing, and making the most of our slower days. Channel Mercury's excess energy into intellectual pursuits, satisfying curiosity, and engaging in logical challenges.

The New Moon in Cancer marks the moment we translate our contemplations, ideas, and conclusions into concrete decisions. These choices may not necessarily pertain to the external world. Cancer places a strong emphasis on nurturing one's emotions, health, and loved ones. Therefore, it's crucial to prioritize our overall well-being when making plans during this period. Are we adequately prioritizing our health? Do we need to devote more attention to this area? Do we have personal rituals in place to maintain our emotional hygiene? Do we require more space to tend to our feelings? Are our relationships with loved ones healthy, or do they demand more of our attention, perhaps even some adjustments? Are we taking on too much of the emotional baggage of others and the world around us? Both the retrograding Saturn and the preceding Capricorn Full Moon, as well as the following Full Moon in Capricorn (yes, we have two Capricorn Full Moons in a row this year), encourage us to establish clear boundaries and evaluate which relationships are essential and which are not. The New Moon itself is a time for making decisions that will yield future rewards.
